Ryder is almost three months and Fletcher is 19 months and me well I'm alive! Ryder is a good little baby and is finally sleeping better at night, yay! i have no idea why this little one was in such a hurry to get here. in fact i wasn't even sick of being pregnant! i woke up to a wet bed on the morning of March 9th... and when its six weeks before your due date i for sure thought that i had just peed my pants! i knew it was a little more serious when i called my doctor who said "head down immediately!"

so there i was having a baby on a dark snowy morning at 2am on March 10th! it felt like a dream but he was here. this baby Danny & I have waited for so long was finally here.

Fletcher Michael Booth - 4 pounds 7 ounces, - 18 inches long....

of course Danny and I manage to do everything a little different, our baby was rushed off to the NICU for a little help with his lungs. he had a ruff first few weeks being poked and strung with wires, as new parents you can only imagine how hard it was for us to watch.

but here he is healthy and strong our perfect little baby boy!
i love you so much....

it's hard to come into this life and not have mommy's touch.
i know the doctors mean to help but i miss her so much.
we had many months together when i was tucked inside. now we're
lonely for each other and we both have cried and cried. but someone
gave my mommy a hanky to hold tight. she sleeps and holds it close to her
it's filled with love each night. when mommy comes to see me she
puts it by my skin. it makes me feel so happy 'cause i feel my mom again
i love these little hankies they work just like a charm.
and i'll cuddle, smell, and hold them tight till i'm back
in mommy's arms.

i just got back from California where i was showered with beautiful gifts. Chelsey and Sara threw the coolest baby shower for me, as you'll see in the photos which Sara took!!! if you weren't there they'll make you feel like you were. just want to thank everyone for making me feel so special and loved. it was such a fun day, i loved every minute of it!!!!

i have to say, my plan of a Mexican Christmas vacation turned out exactly how i envisioned it! We had the perfect set up for the family literally right on the beach in Playa del Carmen and in the middle of the 5th ave strip. this was a much needed vacation that took a couple of days for everyone to unwind from their busy lives, but mexico seems to have the perfect formula to do just that.

Danny & I are thrilled to be expecting a little boy, after a long run of unsuccessful attempts! its hard to get it through my head that this is really happening. i guess it makes it that much more exciting for us.

my pregnancy so far has been a breeze. this little boy must be real content in there cause he has given me no trouble. seeing him squirming around was such an amazing thing to see. you would never guess he'd been frozen at one point!

this was well worth the fight i gave to have my dream come true... we are so grateful to be having this experience in our lives and thank all who have supported us along the way. couldn't have done it without all of you and Goldman Sachs for such great insurance!

Logan to Jackson Hole

Here are some pics of Danny's race in September. I've been a major slacker in the blogging world so I'm doing a little catch up.... The race is 206 miles starting in Logan. They had a team of 5 and relayed all the way to Jackson. It was quite the event and was a very long day. The team took 9th in their division, not too shabby! We had a great time and hope to be apart of it next year...

one of my favorite places in Utah is Sundance, such a beautiful scene. Danny & I have loved coming up here for his Wednesday night races. we are sad to see it come to an end, Danny had definitely gotten some good training and got better every time! he's getting ready for the 24 hrs of Moab coming up in October. his next race coming up is in 2 wks, a relay race from Logan to Jackson Hole! 50 miles on a seat sounds like fun right? so i'll let you know how it goes...

i always forget how gorgeous it is up there, you feel like you traveled

London to Madrid...

so our trip to europe was awesome, sometimes you just have to get out of town!
we started out trip in London to see my bro Ryan and girlfriend Jacqui. i had the first day all
to myself, exploring on the metro and wondering into quaint little villages. i soon fell deeply in love with London, so happened the weather was pleasantly fabulous. i had to restrain myself when it came to the shopping, you have no idea how awesome it is, unless you've been there of course. there was an H&M on every corner, they call it Hennes there. to bad everything is double the price! the sights where great and having Ry & Jacqui there to show us around made the experience that much better. they showed us the best things to see, went to a play called "into the hood," and took us to eat at some good places. its all about good food when you travel, right!
danny was our pro tour guide in Madrid, old stomping grounds for him. Ry suggested we rent bikes to go check out the city, so we did. this was the high light of the trip for me. we cruised the whole city with danny as our guide for bout 4 hrs. people where soo jealouse as they watched us zipping bye and then we'd ring our bells so they'd get out of our way. we're smart travelers what can i say.
we went to Danny's friends wedding which was 3 hrs south of Madrid. that was quit the experience. lets just say i've never eaten so much food and we left at 3am. the party was still going strong,, they know how to party.... then we were off back to London then to Philly then to Las vegas then home....Ahhhh, i looked so jacked up and it didn't help that i had four huge bug bits on my face. the price you pay for fun.... but totally worth it!

unfortunately the older you get the more things start to hurt on your body. i always tell Danny that i'm permanently damaged from doing hair for so many years, sadly i think i really am! i know the key is to stretch, stretch & more stretching! so we had someone tell us about the foam roll and that it does wonders for knee pain which we both have. if you're a runner, cyclist, or do hair and need relief from a tight IT band the foam roll is for you...

my favorite place to relax is a little town south of Cancun Mexico called Playa Del Carmen. when every i think of it i get this excited feeling inside. i've been dreaming every night that i'm there on the beach, watching the waves while sippen a coco cola light. ahh tranquil.

but then i suddenly wake-up and head right back into robot mode, brush teeth, drive to work, cut hair, head home, eat ect....

to my favorite sister in the whole wide world,

how lucky am i to have such a sister to look up to. growing up my sister was much older than me, in fact she was the eldest. she loved making us younger kids do things for her and i would always fall for the you scratch my back first trick! after i was done doing her favorite back scratch she would fall fast asleep.... its OK sister, i forgive you. she also has the craziest things happen to her, like leaving her wallet on her trunk while pumping gas and finding it the next morning frozen to her car right where she left if! the stories are endless... the best part about her is that she has the biggest heart. people are drawn to her cause they can sense her kindness and love. she is also an amazing mother of three and soon to be four! when ever we're together people can't help but stop to ask us if we're twins. they can't believe we aren't and they can't believe the age difference either. we'll thank mom for those good young genes. i love you sister and am always thinking of you....

yesterday when i got home from work i found a package at my front door. i thought it was probably something Danny ordered from eBay but to my surprise it was for me from my good friend Kelly. so i hurried in cause i couldn't wait to get that box open to see what i would find. i knew it would be something really cool because Kelly is always up to something really cool, obviously! thank you so much Kell for such a thoughtful gift, a beautiful note that made me cry, a jar full of lemon heads and a hope~ faith~ believe necklace. i love it!!! thanks for thinking of me, it truly warmed my heart....

100 mile bike ride...

Danny headed down to Canyon Lands national park for a 100 mile mountain bike ride. he went last weekend with friends from work for their two day adventure. sounds like fun, right? suffering for hours out in the heat on a bike is always fun. i guess you have that pretty scenery to look at. i sometimes forget how beautiful Utah is, you drive a couple hours and find yourself in a whole new world, pretty cool. good job Danny!

i'm not sure if this was the wisest decision. we purchased a 9 week old English bulldog named Carlitos - Carlos for short. but how could we resist that face? let me tell ya, this little guy is up to no good. i had no idea that puppies pee every 15 minutes, yikes! he's already broke out of his lock down spot twice while we where gone. we found him both times passed out in our closet on our pile of dirty clothes. he also chewed a pair of new shoes i bought from Nordstroms that i hadn't worn yet. i'm not sure if Nordstoms is down with the dog chewed my shoe return! good thing he’s so dang cute. he loves taking long naps on our bed and can pass out like no other. a lazy dog is for sure the way to go. i think this might only be the beginning of the many stories Carlos will bring to our lives.

i'm finally recovering from the disappointing news. the 2 week wait was the worst part of the whole thing. am i pregnant or not, just tell me please! i didn't feel one ounce of being pregnant so i was pretty much planning on the bad news. but the reality of it really sucked. i think i got all my crying out the past two days, so today i haven't felt that emotional about it. i decided i'm not going to wallow in my sorrows any longer. thinking about my life, i've always had to fight for things i've wanted. i guess this is just another and i'm ready to fight back. life doesn't always turn out how you picture it and that's the hardest thing to accept. the world can try real hard to cripple you and it can, but you're the one that makes that decision. so my infertility journey continues....

the Doc highly recommended me to not do hair color until i'm past my first trimester. i just don't know how that's going to fly! People’s roots just can’t wait. so what’s the alternative? the freaking mask!!! i don't know if you've ever put one of these on or not, but it sucks and you can't breath. plus part of my job is to chat. at least when Doctors wear these there clients are knocked out. i guess i'm going to have to test it out tomorrow unless anyone has a better idea! there better be a baby in there.

our little embryos....

danny and i have been married six years, so of course the next step in life, which began three years ago, is to have kids, right? well easier said than done. we just finished our first round of in-vitro, and for those of you that don't know much or anything about it i'm so happy for you. its quite the process both physically and emotionally. those experiencing infertility know exactly what i'm talking about. fortunately danny & i have so many great friends and family that have supported us through this journey -couldn't have made without them.
so the in-vitro process starts by first finding a great doctor. ours happened to be in Reno, of all places... then you get a huge box in the mail full of drugs, syringes, and the lovely needles! i definitely had a break down when i saw what i was really getting myself into - just a little over whelming. the worst part of this whole thing is the anticipation and thinking how much those damn needles are going to hurt. then you meet with your doctor and they explain how to mix your cocktail of drugs and map out your schedule for the month. when to start this, when to stop that, when it's time for another shot and so on. the shots aren't that bad; i only fainted once!! luckily danny was there to wake me up.
on july 24th we left for reno to begin our adventure. one of the shots made me produce tons of eggs, since normally you only have one or maybe two a month. the first couple of day were dedicated to monitor how big my follicles were getting, which estimates the maturity of the eggs that are inside. of course i happened to be two days behind so that gave us two more days in Reno. not happy about that... finally it was time to knock me out to do the egg retrieval. the doctor took 33 eggs out! am i freaking you all out yet!?!?! yeah, so then they put the spermies and eggs together and let the conception begin - it's a blind date! the next day they called us and told us we had 24 little embryos growing! crazy.. i'm still a little tripped out about the whole thing, its really amazing. the third day after the retieval is the transfer day. they told us we had 11 quality embryos and showed us pictures of the best three. we transfered two of them that day.
so here i am trying to relax at home and praying to get through the longest week of my life. we'll find out this weekend! i do have to say that nothing was as bad as i thought it was going to be. i'm a little bruised up from the shots but i'd do it all over again.
i'm staying very optimistic about it. i find myself role-playing how the phone call is going to go. ok...im not pregnant or i'm pregnant? that's going to be an intense phone call. i would prefer a text message instead.
i'll have to leave you all hanging until i find out. hopefully this is it! if not we're blessed to have so many frozen embryos waiting................
